The Home and School Organization (HSO) is an integral part of the strength of Sr. Thea Bowman Catholic Elementary School. The basic objectives of the Home and School Organization are to:
- Assist parents and teachers acquire a profound appreciation of the ideals of Catholic education which includes the building of a faith community;
- Encourage high standards of family life;
- Promote a clearer understanding of the mutual educational responsibilities of parents and teachers; and
- Plan and implement programs which generate funds for the school and its programs.

School Advisory Council
The School Advisory Council is comprised of parents, parishioners and community members. Its goal is to develop policies that are compatible with the school’s philosophy, to give direction to the school through short and long-range planning, and to enable the institution to reach its goals. The school advisory council shall review, revise and approve a balanced financial budget annually, review year-to-date expenses on a monthly basis, and determine sources of funding.
