Library Mission Statement

The mission of the STB Library Media Center is to promote an interest and love for reading, as well as to ensure that students are effective users of information and technology.  We aim to create a reading and research environment that meets the literary needs of our teachers and students.  Our mission is accomplished by providing various reading materials that pique students' reading interest and by providing a fully functioning computer lab with multiple desktop computers, iPads, and Chromebooks. 

Vision Statement

Sister Thea Bowman Catholic School Library Media Program seeks to create a 21st-century environment that promotes learning for all students by providing equitable access to information, teaching information literacy skills, and encouraging lifelong learning. The library media center strives to be a center of collaborative learning that produces creative students who have an appreciation of literature, critical thinking skills, and a respect for others and self.

Library Book Policies

• Overdue Books - Books are checked out weekly. No student may check out an additional book, if their overdue book isn't returned the following week.
• Lost Books - It is the student’s responsibility to keep up with their library books.  In addition to the cost of the item, students will be charged a $5.00 surcharge for lost item.
