Library Mission Statement

The mission of the Sister Thea Bowman Catholic School Media Center Program is to promote an interest and love for reading.  We want to provide a reading and research environment that supports the literary needs of our teachers and students.  Our mission is accomplished by providing various reading materials that peak the reading interest in all who enter the doors of our Media Center.

Vision Statement

Sister Thea Bowman Catholic School Library Media Program seeks to create a 21st century environment that promotes learning for all students by providing equitable access to information, teaching information literacy skills, and encouraging lifelong learning. The library media center strives to be a center of collaborative learning that produces creative students who have an appreciation of literature, critical thinking skills, and a respect for others and self.

The Sister Thea Bowman Catholic School Library Media Center is dedicated to instilling Catholic values and promoting academic excellence by nurturing mind, body, and soul. Sister Thea Bowman's media center believes that the school library programs promote and encourage reading for enjoyment, academic achievement and life-long learning. The Media Center aims to provide services and information to support the academic, artistic and recreational needs of the staff, students and broader school community. We aim to promote literature appreciation and information skills and to provide a stimulating environment, which encourages a love of reading and learning.
